    The Grain Store is an incredible pub. 20 pumps of Aussie craft beer, rotating their offering to give new options frequently. They have a vast and tasty American Barbecue/Pizza menu. Their popularity is undoubtable and you can guarantee the Grain Store will be busy at the weekend. Go in mid week if you want to chat beer with some guys who really know their stuff. Top tip - Beer tasting boards are a bargain $15 for four beers of your choice. ????????

    Great pub. Excellent selection of Australian craft beers. Go for a tasting paddle or two. Solid pub food. Even had the prerequisite moody bar manager. Totally recommended stop in Newcastle.

    definitely worth the walk up from the water, space is large and inviting, perfect for groups or just for relaxing. We didn't have the food, but those around us looked to be enjoying theirs. No bottled beer here so be prepared to rely on the very nice people behind the bar to help you select your drink(s). It was hilariously (to us) American week since we visited over the 4th of July, and thus all the beer on tap was from the States save for one local brew!

    Absolutely, without a doubt, THE best place to go for a drink and a meal in Newcastle. The beer is exceptional, the food is incredible, the staff are friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is outstanding. Do yourself a favour and go there ASAP.

    The best chips - salty crispy goodness! The accompanying aioli-mustard dipping sauce is delicious with the chips. Both burgers we ordered were a generous size and delicious. As this establishment does not have a pet-friendly outdoor dining area, we ordered takeaway and sat around the corner in the park overlooking the water. Would definitely eat here again!
